Plumb Library Summer Reader Wins Bruins Prize!

The Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC),
the Massachusetts Regional Library Systems (MRLS), and Joseph H. Plumb Memorial Library are pleased to announce that Elise Mello, of Rochester, will be awarded an autographed Patrice Bergeron jersey on October 25th at the Boston Sports Museum! Elise was eligible for this prize due to her participation in the Massachusetts Summer Reading Program, Starship Adventure, held at Plumb Library.  Elise won first prize in the Southeast region.

This summer marked the beginning of a new partnership between the Boston
Bruins, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and the

Massachusetts Regional Library Systems.  Together the organizations developed “When you read, you score” that worked with the
MBLC/MRLS existing summer reading programs to encourage children and
teens to read a variety of books over the summer, and to help support the message that reading is for everyone, even tough guys like the Bruins.
The Boston Bruins, MBLC, MRLS, and Plumb Library are looking forward to 2010 when the theme for the summer reading program is Go Green@ Your Library!  For more information please visit www.mass.gov/libraries.
