Back seat book club

For all our younger readers, here is a great thing to take part in. NPR has started the Back Seat Book Club for kids who get to drive around to different activities, spending lots of time in the car. Their first selection: Neil Gaiman’s “The Graveyard Book”, one of our favorites. Here’s the link.

Bad News for Harry Potter fans from Plumb Library

Well, first the good news: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” will be out on DVD/Blue Ray on November 11.

Now the bad news: Warner Brothers will be embargoing this and all of their other titles for library purchase for 28 days, so we will not be getting this movie until after Christmas. When we do get it, it will have only the movie; no extras. This is Warner Brothers policy for all of their movie sales to libraries starting November 1. We will do our best to get a copy before the library release date.
